Sustainable Sewing

Throughout the centuries humans understood the value of fabric. A century ago even royalty would piece together every bit of fabric they could for new garments in order to best utilize this labor intensive and quintessential material. A trip to the thrift store to find bedding and curtains to turn into new clothing is more than just being economical, it is following a long and rich history to show reverence for the true value of fabric.

In this day and age, as the global footprint of fashion grows, sustainable sewing is an attempt to keep more items out of landfills by repurposing materials into well made, long lasting garments, that suit a persons style and needs for years to come.

I hope to teach others how to have this same passion for sustainable clothing and personal style, rather than fast fashion trends, by creating inspirational content on the subject as well as offering lessons and commissions.
